今日は「いい夫婦の日」。 三重県・伊勢の「夫婦岩」から昇る朝日を見に来ました🌅
注連縄で固く結ばれた二つの岩の間から、太陽が顔を出す瞬間は息をのむ美しさ。神々しいパワーをたっぷり浴びてきました✨
最高のパートナーである愛犬あずきと、お揃いの着物で縁結び祈願です🐕👘 みなさんにも、素敵なご縁がありますように。
Today, November 22nd, is known as “Good Couple Day” in Japan because of a wordplay on the numbers (11=ii=good, 22=fufu=couple). To mark this lovely occasion, I visited Futami Okitama Shrine in Ise City, Mie Prefecture.
Spread out before me are the famous “Meoto Iwa,” or Wedded Rocks. Seeing the large “husband” rock and smaller “wife” rock tightly connected by thick shimenawa (sacred straw ropes) is truly a symbol of a strong bond.
I waited on the shore while it was still dark and was able to witness the miraculous moment the sun rose right between the rocks. The sight of the sky and sea turning golden was unspeakably beautiful and filled me with a very sacred feeling.
I’m still 19 and single, but this is also a famous power spot for “en-musubi” (matchmaking/connecting ties). While hoping for a wonderful future connection… for now, I enjoyed this magnificent view with my best partner, Azuki. (Azuki is also dressed up today in a kimono matching mine with maple leaf patterns! ♪)
