今回のFEEL JAPAN（v44）は、長野県の山奥にある「地獄谷野猿公苑」へ。 世界で唯一、温泉に入る野生のニホンザル、「スノーモンキー」に会える場所として世界中から注目されています。厳しい寒さの中、真っ白な雪景色と、湯気の中で気持ちよさそうに目を閉じる猿たちの表情……。 見ているだけで、こちらまで心が解けていくようです。イラストでは、紫乃（Shino）と愛犬の小豆（Azuki）が、猿たちの穏やかな時間を間近で見守っています。 人間を気にせずリラックスする猿と、不思議そうに見つめる小豆。種を超えた、優しい冬のワンシーンを描きました。

For this edition of FEEL JAPAN (Vol. 44), we visit “Jigokudani Monkey Park” deep in the mountains of Nagano Prefecture. This place is famous worldwide as the only spot where you can see wild Japanese macaques, known as “Snow Monkeys,” bathing in hot springs.

The contrast between the harsh cold, the pure white snow, and the blissful expressions of the monkeys closing their eyes in the steam… Just looking at them makes our hearts melt.

In the illustration, Shino and her dog Azuki are watching the monkeys’ peaceful moments up close. The monkeys relax without minding the humans, while Azuki watches them with curiosity. It captures a gentle winter scene that transcends species.
